Sakura grinned as she skated on her roller blades and stopped directly in front of a moderately sized house. She saw the door open and her grin widened. "Kira-chan, hurry up! Axel and I are going to have fun at school, and you HAVE to be there!" she shouted.
"I'm coming, I'm coming!" Kira replied, grabbing her bag as she dashed after her friend. "What are you planning anyway?"
Sakura looked away her eyes swirling suspiciously. "We're not going to set the chemistry room on fire...."
She started skating at a slow pace so her friend could keep up.
Kira stopped in her tracks. "What?!" She cautiously started following Sakura to school again. "Didn't you two try to pull that trick last year? You're not allowed in the science hall anymore because the teachers said you two were too highly combustible so how are you even going to get there?"
Smirking, Sakura looked back at her friend. "Kira, Kira, Kira, my good friend. Axel's and my secrets can't be known. We have a way.... a very good way.... a way that we won't ever be found out," she said mysteriously.
"Except for the fact that everyone in the school knows that you two are pyromaniacs, so you're going to be blamed," Kairi pointed out as she came around the corner.
Kira glared at Kairi. She was too goody goody for her tastes. Kira wasn't as mischievous as Sakura or Axel, but she wasn't the little Miss goody two shoes that Kairi was.
"Or maybe they'll know because you're going to tell them." Kira growled before looking at Sakura. "But she does have a point."
Sakura shrugged. "Like I said, our secrets."
Suddenly an arm wrapped around her shoulders and a familiar voice called out. "Exactly, so get off our backs on it."
Sakura glared at the tall red-head and pulled his arm off of her. "You no touchy.... I already have a boyfriend."
Axel raised an eyebrow and said, "Ha, Roxy won't mind."
"Axel back off," Roxas stated walking up to them.
"Too many people live around here!" Sakura groaned. "Stop popping up out of nowhere!"
Kira laughed. "Hey Roxas, Axel." She snuck behind Roxas. "Don't be so defensive, Roxy boy. It makes things less fun." She stroked a finger along his cheek and giggled as he blushed. "Besides, we all know that Axel would beat you in a fight. So you have to trust Sakura to say no to him or get your ass burned."
Axel smirked. "Haha, I knew there was a reason why I always liked you out of everyone else Kira!"
"Hey!" Sakura protested hearing the insult to her. She scoffed and folded her arms against her chest. "If Roxy couldn't beat Axel, then I definitely could... although that would probably injure your pride huh Roxy?"
Roxas stared at her with a blank face before he grabbed her hand and started to pull her to school.
"NOOOOO!!!! NOT TO THE HELL HOUSE!!!!" Sakura whined loudly suddenly grabbing a pole with one hand. "YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!!!!"
Kairi blinked and sighed. "I'm going ahead..."
"Bye Kairi!" Kira said enthusiastically before turning to the others and laughing. "C'mon Roxy. You can leave her. We'll go on ahead and have some fun..." she said suggestively, winking in his direction.
"Foursomes get too complicated anyway." Axel stated.
Kira fought the urge to hit the pervert and continued the charade to get Sakura to come to school.
Sakura's eye twitched and she contemplated to follow them... or stay there. She heard a car coming and looked back. Her eyes widened in horror and she let go of the pole. She immediately started skating quickly and yelled, "AHHHH! IT'S THE TOTALLY HOT RIKU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUST RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!"
Roxas blinked as Sakura passed him and a wind blew by. He sweat dropped at what she said and looked back.
Kira folded her arms and smothered a laugh. "You know, you shouldn't go around screaming that..." she muttered and waved to the passing car.
Riku smiled back and stopped the car next to them. "Hey guys. You're going to be late to school if you don't run. Want a ride?"
Kira smiled and glanced over at the others to see what they would say.
Sakura stopped and again contemplated whether to go or not. "Ahh... screw it," she muttered and skated back. "Fine, as long as you don't try to flirt... with anyone."
Roxas shrugged. He didn't really care how they got to school as long as they weren't late.
"Thanks Riku" kira grinned as they piled into his car.
"No problem." He smiled. "Are you guys going to get into trouble again? Please leave my car out of it." Riku eyed Sakura especially, it had been her idea to blow up his car the last time he had given them a ride.
"Your car isn't the target..." Sakura grumbled. "Last time was because you copped a feel."
Roxas raised an eyebrow. "When was this?"
Sakura shrugged. "Don't remember."
Axel smirked. He remembered that... although it wasn't Riku who had. Good opportunities merely presented themselves to him, who was he to refuse?
"I never copped a feel!" Riku denied. "Who would ever want to grope you anyway?"
Kira's eyebrows shot up. It wasn't normal for Riku to say something so mean or impolite. It was one of the reasons so many girls loved him. She wondered what was aggravating him to say something like that.
Meanwhile, Roxas glared at Axel, who had decided to sit between them and was now holding her to him in an attempt to comfort her. "That’s my girlfriend." Roxas growled, talking to both Riku's comment and Axel's actions.
Sakura eye twitched and she wondered why it was taking so long to get to school. "Riku... let me respond to that with this. Who would want to date a pathetic guy like you?"
"The entire female population at our school. Including you because I did hear your earlier comment when you said... ah, let’s see 'AHHHH! IT'S THE TOTALLY HOT RIKU!!!!!!!'" he smirked and even went as far to mimic Sakura's voice.
"Are we there yet?" Roxas muttered, trying to ignore Axel's arm around Sakura. It wasn't working so he turned his attention to Kira who was in the seat ahead of him.
"HA! Just because you're hot doesn't mean that I want to date you!" Sakura fired back. "I mean come on, what's with the silver hair? Makes you look like an old man."
"What with their bickering you'd think they were going out," Axel muttered with a smirk.
"Then you like old men? I look very dignified i think, and I can get hundreds of girls to agree with me." Riku drove the car into the school's parking lot. "Here we are."
Before leaving the car, Kira turned in her seat to Axel. "Just shut up and don't blow up anything before first period." She got out of the car and opened the passenger door. "C'mon Roxy. We have to get to our class."
"Dignified? Sure, if you call that so called coolness of yours dignified," Sakura scoffed. She got out after Roxas and pulled Axel's arm off of her. "I don't get what those girls at school see in you."
Roxas sighed and wondered if he was going to have to deal with their bickering all the way through homeroom. It was a pity that they all had the same homeroom together.
Axel shrugged with a smirk on his face. "I promise I won't blow anything up before first period."
"Why is it that I don't trust you?" Kira sighed, leading Roxas ahead of the rest of them with her. It wasn't good for him to be around them too much. He’d end up picking a fight out of jealousy and getting his ass whooped. He was a weak fighter, but cute.
"Did you just call me cool? Thank you. I'm sure those girls see just what you do. A cool, sexy bastard."
Riku smirked and put emphasis on the word 'cool.' He was sure he had won the argument by now.
"If by cool you mean cold, yes, you're a cold heartless bastard," Sakura replied. She was not going to lose. Not to an egotistical bastard that needed his balloon of hot air to be popped.
Axel smirked. "What's not to trust?" he asked walking up to her leaving the two bickering teenagers behind him. He put his arm around Kira and said, "You can trust me, every time."
Riku was silent for a moment. She had brought up memories that were too painful to remember. Yes, he had been a heartless. But he wasn't anymore, was he?
Roxas looked away from Kira and Axel. Was he doomed to feel jealous all morning?
"Everything about you tells me not to trust you." Kira replied, moving closer to Roxas and away from Axel.
Sakura frowned at his sudden silence. "Hey... what's wrong?" she asked quietly. Had she said something wrong? Maybe it was the heartless comment. "Okay... maybe you're not heartless. Maybe you're actually a bit hot, but I'm too stubborn to admit it."
Axel shrugged and took his arm off of her. He brought his hands back and stretched slightly.
"Well, while you try to steal Sakura's boyfriend away, I have somewhere to be. See ya," Axel said smirking and jogged off.
"I-I'm fine." Riku sighed. Sakura admitted defeat, which made him feel better, but he wasn't going to admit it.
"What did he say?" Roxas asked, staring at Kira.
"Oh, nothing, nothing. We're going to be late to homeroom! C'mon Roxy!" Kira hurried off, dragging him behind her.
Sakura smiled slightly and said, "Well, if you're sure you're fine, we should hurry after them." She pointed to their friends who were rapidly leaving their sight.
She blinked as she noticed that Axel wasn't there. Her eyes widened. "Shoot, I forgot!" she muttered. "See you in homeroom Riku!"
Sakura waved at the silver haired boy, who was indeed absolutely hot, before she ran off.
"What are they up to now?" Riku wondered, hurrying after the other two.
In a few minutes, they were all in homeroom, waiting for Sakura and Axel. "He said he wouldn't blow anything up before first period..." Kira grumbled, not wanting to deal with their trouble. She glanced over at Roxas, wondering if he really hadn't heard Axel or had just been asking out of sheer wonderment.
Sakura saw Axel ahead and she grinned. "Sorry, I forgot. Did you bring him?"
Axel rolled his eyes. "Duh, of course I did." He pointed down to the cage at his feet where a rat the size of a kitten was.
"Good, then we can proceed," Sakura said with a cackle. She pulled out of her pocket a red orb and gave it to the rat. Having already been taught what to do, the rat held the orb in its mouth.
"Go my furry little rat friend!" Sakura said. She watched it scamper off after Axel opened the cage and grinned. The rat would pass by the chemistry room and throw in the orb. No harm would become of it of course. And, it knew to go back to its cage after completing its mission.
"Come on Axel, let's go, don't forget to put the cage back," Sakura told him before she hurried off to class.
Sakura and Axel walked in right before the bell rang. "What did you two do?" Kira asked, knowing instantly that something was up. Roxas looked up and smiled when he saw Sakura, but glared when Axel showed up with his arm around her. Riku was busying himself looking depressed to get Sakura's attention.
Sakura stuck her tongue out at Kira. "We didn't do anything," she said and walked over to her desk after making Axel take his arm off of her again. She passed by Roxas desk and smiled back at him. She then continued onto her desk and looked at Riku who sat behind her. "Geeze, are you still down about what I said before? I'm sorry, okay?"
"Then why'd you have to leave?" Because of Roxas sitting right next to her, Kira didn't mention there were many things that Sakura and Axel could have been doing together that didn't involve making trouble.
Riku looked up at Sakura through his silver hair. "You don't mean that."
Sakura inwardly blushed at the image Riku was presenting. Outwardly she said, "I mean it. And, are you trying to flirt with me?"
Axel shrugged and said, "We left because there was something we had to do. Got a problem with that?"
Roxas frowned as he tried to think of what they could be doing besides making trouble and his frown grew. Geeze, was it make Roxas Jealous Day or something?
"Yeah, I do." Kira glared at him before taking in Roxas' depressed form. "Are you okay, Roxy?" She leaned her head down to look at his eyes for his head was on the table.
Riku busied himself with looking out the window, the opposite direction of Sakura. He hoped she hadn't seen the slight pink in his cheeks. "Why would I do that?"
Roxas shrugged, "Nothing is wrong." He got up slightly and looked back to see Sakura talking to Riku who was OBVIOUSLY flirting with her. Trust him to get a girlfriend who was oblivious.
"I don't know, you just seem like it," Sakura said. She couldn't help the blush that arose from how he looked now. d**n, she was becoming one of those fangirls of his! Blushing at every action!
Axel yawned and said, "Hey, can all of you be quiet? Some of us are trying to sleep."
"It's homeroom though Axel, you shouldn't be sleeping in the first place," Demyx said entering the conversation. He looked at Kira shyly and grinned. "Hi Kira."
"Something is definitely wrong." Kira said, looking behind her. She turned Roxas' head to face her. "Is that it? Don't pay attention to them, alright?"
Riku felt brave enough to look back at Sakura just in time to see a blush. "Really now? Are you blushing?" A smirk returned to his lips.
At her name, Kira turned. "Oh hi Demyx. What's up?" Turning to Axel, she commented "He is right, you know."
Roxas frowned and looked away. He just didn't want to talk about it anymore. Sometimes he had to wonder... did Sakura really like him?
Sakura stuck her tongue out at him. "I'm not blushing. I'm just feeling a little hot that's all. I'm not blushing because of you."
Axel rolled his eyes. "Demyx, right? Sure..." he said. He heard the door opening and groaned. "Great, the teacher's here."
Riku grinned back at her. "Really? I think it's perfectly chilly in here. If you weren't so hot, I'd offer you my jacket." He put his finger under her chin.
"Demyx can be right. Better than saying 'got it memorized?' all the time before a test." Kira defended before being told to hush as the teacher walked in.
Sakura couldn't help but blush when he touched her and she frowned. "You're bad for making me react to you when I'm already taken Riku," she muttered before she turned around and faced the teacher who had come in.
Axel rolled his eyes and looked at the teacher. "Hey, would you look at that! It's Saix! Didn't know that the school administration would actually allow you to teach."
Saix refrained himself from possibly murdering the pyromaniac. One, he'd lose his job, two, he'd be thrown to jail. At best, he merely growled and said, "For your information Axel, I have the license to teach." He looked around the room and went to sit at his desk. "I can see that everyone is here. Keep the noise level to a minimum."
"Go figure" Kira muttered, sitting back in her chair.
"So you admit that you react to me?" Riku grinned at her. "Quite a shame for Roxas since you've fallen for me."
"Shut up," Sakura muttered before she made herself ignore him. It wasn't good to talk to people, especially guys, who made you blush. Especially if you're dating someone like Roxas.
She got out of her seat and went to the empty one behind the Blondie. She grinned and poked him in the back. "Ne, sorry for not talking to you. Riku was being his usual self."
Roxas turned around and had to smile.
"It's alright," he said quietly.
Sakura frowned and placed her hand on his cheek. "No, not alright. I should pay attention to you... not to silver haired guys who constantly flirt with girls."
Roxas smiled at her and placed his hand on hers.
Kira smiled at the two before glancing back to Riku. Did he seem a bit rejected? Or was that jealousy? Oh well, at least Roxas was cheered up now. She sighed at her own single-ness and put her head on her desk.
"Um, Kira, later at lunch, do you want to listen to this song I wrote?" Demyx asked his face mildly red.
Axel grinned. "Looks like someone's got a crush."
Kira ignored Axel and simply for sakes of being polite, she lifted her head and smiled. "Sure Demyx. I'm sure it'll sound great."
Demyx blushed and said, "T..Thanks Kira!"
Sakura looked away from Roxas to see a blushing Demyx and she grinned. "Isn't it cute Roxas? Demyx has an obvious crush on Kira-chan!"
Roxas nodded smiling as well, although his eyes stayed on her.
Demyx blushed even more and looked away. Kira glared at the others, noticing Roxas' gaze. 'At least he's happy.' Kira thought.
The bell rang and the glare that Saix sent the class sent them running for the exit. Axel was the last to walk out and flipped him the bird, he smirked upon hearing the growl coming from the room.
"Ah, it's always fun to rile that guy," Axel said with a smirk.
"You're going to get into trouble though," Sakura pointed out. Speaking of trouble... Some guy who she knew was the class president, came running up. He stopped in front of her and pointed an accusatory finger at her and Axel.
"You... You... You... The two of you destroyed the chemistry room didn't you?" he burst out panting.
Sakura blinked. "We did? But... we were in class, how could we have done it?"
Axel nodded. "Come on now Eric, have some common sense."
"It's Joe, Joe for the love of god, remember my name why don't you?!?" Joe, apparently, yelled.
Axel shrugged and said, "Fine, Joe." He walked past him and said, "Bye Billy."
"IT'S JOE! JOEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"What did you two DO?!?" Kira whispered. "You said you wouldn't blow anything up before first period." She pointed to Axel. "This is why I don't trust you!"
"At least now we don't have chem. class." Riku said, pointing out the bright side. This was definitely not a good thing for Chemistry was one of the classes that Kira shared with Riku and Roxas.
"We didn't do anything," Sakura said laughing at how the hallways were still echoing with Kyle's outburst. Or was it Joe, she couldn't remember. The guy's name was funny. "Mousy the Rat was the one to chuck the fire materia into the chem. room."
Roxas sighed. Sakura's dislike for that class was supremely known. It figured that she would have that class to be destroyed. Not that he minded much...
"Fire materia?! Where'd you get that?" Kira wondered, a bit shocked that they had the nerve to blow up the chemistry room twice.
The principal gave an announcement over the speaker system. "Due to the Chemistry room being blown up by unknown persons, Chemistry students will meet out in the front courtyard."
"Tis a secret that will never be shared," Sakura said mysteriously putting her finger to her lip in a shush motion. She heard the announcement and grinned. "Yes! No more chem. for the period after this one! Until then, I'll see you later Roxas, Kira. Axel, let's go have fun in Home Ec! I hear we're actually using the stoves this time!"
Axel grinned. "Great!"
Demyx groaned. He had Home Ec next...
"Don't blow up anything else!" Kira called after them. "C'mon Riku, Roxas. We better head to the front courtyard. I wonder what they're going to make us do?"
Roxas nodded and followed Kira. He noticed Riku walk beside him and he muttered, "Stay away from Sakura."
Sakura grinned as she walked to her class alongside Demyx and Axel. "So... Demyx, better not have a table next to Axel and me. You'll surely regret it."
Demyx paled, it figured. They weren't going to put their own station on fire, they were going to make the tables next to them on fire.
"I'm coming, I'm coming!" Kira replied, grabbing her bag as she dashed after her friend. "What are you planning anyway?"
Sakura looked away her eyes swirling suspiciously. "We're not going to set the chemistry room on fire...."
