"AXEL!" Sakura yelled upon seeing the spiky red head at the controls of a game.
"Agh, Sakura! Couldn't you yell my name after I've finished this round?" Axel complained as his hands rapidly pushed the buttons.
Sakura shrugged before she moved away from him. "Whatever, I'll be at the DDR station if you want to challenge me," she told him before she left the red head. "Riku, want to challenge me?"
"Sure, why not? I've never played DDR before..." he grinend and follwoed her over to the large metal-and-plastic dance platforms.
Kira poked her head over Axel's shoulder to see what he was playing. After watching for a moment, she walked over to gat some tokens. "Roxy, what do you want to play?"
Sakura grinned at Riku. "Really you haven't? Ah, then maybe I should go easy on you... unless I want to actually beat you at something," she said with a conniving grin.
Roxas shrugged. "I'm fine with any game."
"I take it that you're good? AMybe I shouldn't play then..." Riku toyed, looking idly over at the other games, smirking as he did so.
"Nya~ Roxy! I'm indecissive so we'll never pick a game if you continue liek that! Now pick." Kira pouted, sticking out ehr lip and crossing ehr arms.
Sakura pouted and shook her head. "We'll play DDR and then any game you want! If you beat me at three games, you get to pick a prize of your choosing... within limits of course!" she betted with a smirk.
"Um," Roxas looked around not sure what game to pick. "How about that one?"
RIku grinned back at her. "What are these limits? I'd liek to know what I'm allowed to pick for a prize when I win." As usual, he was a cocky bastard.
Kira inspected the game. "Meh, sure. I'm up for beating the nuts out of some zombies." She entered the coins and handed Roxas one of the guns/controllers. "I'm in a violent mood anyway..." she smirked at him.
Sakura twitched and said, "Nothing involving anything too embarrassing, that's all. And what makes you think you'll win?"
Roxas sighed. Why did the random game he pick have to be a shooter one? He always sucked at those. That was Xigbar's specialty, not his...
Riku smiled and swept over to ehr and placed a hand on her cheek. "what's too embarrassing?"
Kira held out the controller impatiently. "Are you playing or what, Roxy?"
Sakura stopped moving and looked at him. "Riku, just because I told you all of that before doesn't mean that you can touch me. I'm still Roxas' girlfriend until otherwise said."
Roxas nodded and reluctantly took it from her. "I'm playing," he said before he prepared himself to lose, since defeat was inevitable.
Riku snickered and backed away. He shrugged, but didn't say anything. "What are you going to get if you win?"
"Alright then." Kira grinend, and started the game...
She suddenly smirked and looked at him. "I get your complete silence for a day," she said. "And that means no talking to anyone. No one, got it?"
Roxas started to play reluctantly but found himself enjoying himself. The zombies were actually fun to kill... he shot another one and smirked when it fell down dramatically.
Riku nodded reluctantly. "So, shall we begin?...After you show me how to play?..."
Kira smiled at Roxas. "Hey, you're actually pretty good at this ga--" she was unable to finish the sentence, for her character fell to the ground. "Aw, damnit. I was close to the next level too... Oh, well. Don't stop for me, Roxy. You're close to the high score! I'll watch." She moved until she was only a few inches behind him and watched the screen intently, yelling words of encouragement.
Sakura nodded and put some tokens into the machine. She picked a song on standard level and grinned as the tune of Dream a Dream by Captain Jack came on. "You have to step on the arrows, simple enough right?" she said as she punctuated by stepping on some as the arrows came down. She explained a bit more before there were too many arrows and she had to concentrate on them and not talking.
Roxas nodded at Kira's yells and concentrated on keeping his life points at an even level and not allowing some zombie to kill him. He was nearing the boss one now...
Riku nodded and kept up the pace surprisingly well. He was actually quite good for his first time. Unusually good...
"C'mon Roxy! Careful! There's a zombie over there!" she pointed and grazed Roxas' cheek while doing so.
Sakura bit her lip as she heard the sounds coming from Riku's side of the screen. The bastard, he was good at this game! With a growl, she concentrated even more getting more perfects than greats...
"Ow," Roxas mumbled but shot the zombie anyway. "When was the last time you cut your nails?"
At long last, the game had ended, and Riku panted heavily as he waited for the scores. He hadn't played in years...
"Oh, Sorr-- LOOK OUT!" Kira yelled, motioning to a zombie on the other side of the screen. She was apparently paying much more attention to the game than what she had done.
Sakura stood on her tip-toes to see what the score would turn out to be. Her breath stopped in her throat when she noticed that her scores were the exact same with Riku's until the final number showed up. "NOOOOO!" she yelled to see that it was higher than her own. "I did not just lose!"
Roxas shot it but then faltered when he heard Sakura's scream. He struggled to maintain his health points, but with that one falter, it seemed to be the first of many mistakes. He sighed when the huge blinking letters signaling his defeat blinked across the screen. "I lost," he muttered nonchalantly.
"No way. I'm going to kill Sakura. You were so close to the high score!" Kira pouted, motioning her arms to emphasis her point.
"YES!" Riku grinned, before collapsing onto the dance pad. "I don't lose..." he panted before passing out.
Roxas shrugged. "It's okay. If I got the high score, Xigbar probably would have killed me," he said remembering the last time someone beat the sharp shooter's high score.
"You bastard," she mumbled while poking him with her foot. Sakura shook her head before she leaped off the dance pad to another game. "Wake up Riku or you lose by default!"
There was no waking up Riku. He was out cold. He didn't even stir, just kept breathing heavily.
"That's why you'd put in Axel's name. Oh well, let's go murder Sakura now." Kira grinned and headed over to the DDR game.
Sakura frowned. As much as she wanted to win, she didn't want to do it unfairly. With a sigh, she went back to the dance pad and poked him once more. "Fine Riku, you forced me to it," she said. Leaning in close to his ear she whispered. "I'm going to move to a different island far from here..."
Roxas followed Kira. He doubted that she would actually kill Sakura, but he could be wrong.
Kria walked over to where Sakura was and snuck up behind her. "Whatcha doing?" she smirked.
Sakura looked up to see Kira and Roxas. "Trying to get Riku to wake up. He beat me at DDR by a very close shave, although I think he knocked himself out in the process," she answered. "Hm, you think he'd wake up if someone kissed him? Kira you do it!"
"Probably just dehydrated or something..." Roxas mumbled.
"NO! Why me? Why don't you?" Kira replied, quickly regretting her words with Roxas standing next to her.
Sakura's eyes widened when her eyes had passed by Roxas. The look that had come on his face when she jested that Kira should kiss Riku... was it jealousy. She heard Kira's words and glanced at him out of the corner of her eyes. A frown, but nothing else.
Sakura looked at him fully and Roxas looked at her as well. Silent understanding filled the both of them and Sakura was the first to look away. So it was over, just like that. Did she really mind? She reviewed over how she felt and inwardly sighed. She didn't mind. "Thank you Roxas," she told him.
"You too," he said quietly understanding what she meant.
Kira looked between Roxas and Sakura feeling very left out. She also felt liek the awkward third wheel, so she quickly excused herself. "Umm... well, Roxas is probably right about the dehydration. I'll go get Riku some water." she smiled weakly and dashed off. They probably needed a private moment and Riku was knocked out...
Sakura watched Kira walk off and she walked away herself to the back door leading outside. Roxas followed her and she nodded at him. "So, Kira huh? Don't hurt her okay?"
Roxas nodded a soft look in his eyes directed towards her. "I'm sorry I hurt you."
She shook her head. "It's okay. I mean, it hurt, but all wounds heal, so it's okay."
Roxas smiled at her before gesturing inside.
"Be happy with Riku," he said. "If he hurts you, tell me. I'll get Axel to beat him up if I can't do it myself."
"Aw, Roxy, you are so cute when you're trying to be tough!" Sakura suddenly exclaimed after a moment of giggling. She smiled at him before she dashed back inside. "Let's go see if the silver haired one is awake!"
Kira was sitting by Riku's side, a cup of water in her hand. "You think we should get a doctor or something? He's still not up..."
Kira sat there, still feeling a bit awkward. Oh well. They would tell her later what was going on if they wanted to.
Sakura walked in closer a frown covering her face. "Have you given him any water?" she asked kneeling beside Riku as well. She placed a hand to his forehead and felt her own with her other hand. "Well, I think I know the reason why he's collapsed here without waking. He's sick."
"Sick? Riku? He's actually sick?" Roxas asked his eyes wide.
"How am I supposed to give him any? He's out cold. But I agree with Roxy. Riku NEVER gets sick. But if he is, well it was definitely a bad idea for you to challenge him now was it?" Kira glared up at Sakura before palcing her own hand on Riku's forehead. "Holy nuts he's burning up. We better take him to my place. We can't necessarily care for him here now can we?" seh sighed.
"How should I have known that he was sick? He never showed any signs!" Sakura protested. She looked at the cup of water and frowned. Well, it was absolutely necessary. And since he was burning up, he would need water. "We'll bring him to my place, it's closer. Give me the water Kira, he has to take some before we take him anywhere."
Kira handed it over. "Alright then. May I ask how you are going to get a horizontal, unconcious person to drink water without choking on it?" Kira wondered, staring pointedly at Sakura.
Sakura blushed while she took the cup. "Roxas, could you hold him up please?" she asked.
"Sure," he said quiet. He already knew what she was going to do. He wasn't that bothered since he had made up with the fact that he didn't love Sakura as anything more than a friend. He walked over to Riku and kneeled down as well to hold him up. "There, that good?"
"Yeah, just keep him steady," she instructed. Taking a deep breath, Sakura lifted the cup to her lips and held the water in her mouth wihtout drinking it. She felt embarrassed at what she was going to do, but it was a version of CPR... that was all.
Roxas watched Sakura give Riku the water via mouth and felt a bit uncomfortable.
Yes, he had just broken up with her... or something along those lines, but that didn't mean he was comfortable seeing her kiss another guy, even if it was for first aid reasons! He made himself calm down and remember that it was for Riku's benefit.
Sakura sat up and ignored the major blush on her face. "Let's bring him to my house now. Hey Kira, who's stronger me or you? Because Roxas can't carry Riku all on his own."
Kira just stared at Sakura and Roxas for a moment. How was he okay with this and how could Sakura think that she could do that with Roxas right there? Had they broken up in the moment she was gone? What had happend?
Kira shook the thoughts from her head for a later time. "I'll do it. I'm stronger I think." She reallt had no idea, but she needed to be needed and no longer be the third wheel.
"Alright," Sakura said and got up watching them lift Riku up. She helped a little but then backed away. She watched them go along and followed behind. She saw how Kira looked confused and blinked. She hadn't figured it out yet? Oh well, those thoughts could be saved for a later time. "Did you guys notice any signs that Riku was sick at all?â€
"No, he never let anything show to me." Kira snickered. In this case he literally was a hot, sexy bastard. The irony made her laugh, and jostled Riku.
"Wha...?" he said weakly.
Sakura smiled as she heard him start to wake and hurried up. She peeked over Kira's shoulder and looked at him. "You're sick... and I think you gave me your sickness too. d**n you hot, sexy bastard you," she muttered.
Roxas sighed. Was now really the time to be complimenting him?
"I not sick." Riku defied, his head rolling to the side.
"Nya~ stop moving Riku. Or we'll drop you." Kira growled, gettign a better grip on his legs.
Sakura suddenly halted and sneezed. She hurriedly caught up and sniffled. "You're sick," she told him. "I'm proof."
"Great. Now we have to take care of both of you?" Kira complained.
"I'm no sick. Sakura-chan sick." Riku mumbled, still deluded by his fever.
"No, because Riku is sick. I'm not sick at all. I just got a sudden sneeze," Sakura said suddenly denying it.
Roxas shook his head. That was the way Sakura was. If anyone ever told her that she was sick, she refused to admit it, and also refused to take any medicine. It was horrible whenever she was sick.
Kira sighed. "You're just like Riku. You're both denying that you're sick."
"Sakura sick. I not..." Riku murmered, his eyelids drooping.
Roxas noted that Sakura was about to protest once more and he hoped that he would not have to endure the both of them denying for the entire time. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw her house come into view. "We're here," he stated.
"Not sick," Sakura muttered as she ran ahead to open her door for them.
Kira led the way through Sakura's house to the living room and placed Riku, somewhat roughly, on the couch. She had been there quite a bit after all. "Sakura, down." Kira demanded, motioning to the comfy chair and ottoman in front of her. "I'll get the thermometer." And with that, she dashed off calling behind her "Roxy, get her to at least sit down."
Sakura stared at Roxas with a glare. "I'm not sick, and I'm not sitting down. You're not my boyfriend anymore, you can't tell me to sit," she said backing away from him. A sneeze suddenly rocked her body and she growled. "I'm not sick," she protested once more. "It's pathetic to get sick on a warm day like today anyway!"
Roxas shook his head. "Go sit down Sakura. It's not going to kill you."
Kira walked in and held up the thermometer triumphantly. "I found it! You're first, Riku." She stuffed the thermometer in his mouth. "Sakura, what can we do to convince you you're sick?" she asked, pushing her down into the seat. Of course, Kira, oblivious as she was, hadn't heard any of their conversation.
Sakura frowned. An idea came to her mind and she smiled. "Kiss Roxas on the lips and then I'll be sure that I'm sick."
Roxas blanched. What? Why did she say that? He remembered back to times when she had been sick and remembered how what she said after a while got to be odd and slightly perverted.
Kira stared agape at Sakura for a moment. 'Alright, they definitely broke up.' she thought, but she was still astounded at her. Couldn't she leave well enough alone? "w-w-what?" she stammered, and looked up at Roxas to see his reaction.
Roxas merely sighed. He could only be glad that she wasn't telling him or anyone else to run around naked outside... like what he made Demyx do at some party some time ago... that was also probably what made the guy become so introverted...
Sakura suddenly curled in on the seat she was sitting at. "It's cold," she muttered.
"Because you're sick and have a fever!" Kira sighed and grabebd the thermometer from Riku's mouth. "101.2 definitely sick." He washed it off on the kitchen before sticking it in Sakura's mouth. "I'm gonna grab some blankets and pillows," she sighed. "Roxy, keep an eye on them."
Sakura glared at the thing in her mouth and considered spitting it out. She sighed and gave up. Spitting it out would be too much effort... "Roxas... hug me it's too cold!" she complained making the thermometer go up and down.
"I would, but you're sick. Kira's getting some blankets just wait," Roxas told her. His eyes were filled with concern at her. She was an idiot sometimes... seriously.
"Don't talk when I'm taking your temperature." Kira scowled. They had to go and get sick and now she was stuck caring for them. She spread the blankets over both Sakura and Riku before taking out the thermometer. "100.4 It skyrocketed since the arcade. Roxas, get some tylenol would you? It'll bring down their fevers."
Roxas nodded and went to get it. He had been at Sakura's house enough times as well to know where it was.
Sakura glared at Kira and suddenly kicked the blanket off of her self and into Kira's face. "I refuse to be held down by the laws of justice and untowardness!" she yelled before she madly dashed away.
Roxas saw her run by and swore. He forgot, Sakura had a tendency to run away when she was delirious with fever.
"I thought you were cold!" Kira growled before dashing after her. "Roxy! Watch Riku!" Kira yelled as she tackled Sakura onto the ground in the hallway.
Roxas nodded and went into the living room.
Sakura yelled and growled as she struggled to get Kira off of her. "I'm not sick, I'm not sick!" I'm not--"
"You're sick."

Kira demanded, motioning to the comfy chair and ottoman in front of her.
