Shiori fell to the ground. She opened her eyes and saw Crow on top of her and another man lying on the ground, dead. "Wha--What happened?" Crow got off of her and sighed. "You were spacing again and almost got killed." She looked at the man again, still in shock. "You killed one of your own kind?" "No. Another Elf did. He saw me save you and thought I was an Elf too. He killed the man." Shiori sat up and looked around. "You need to leave. If anyone finds that you're human then..." Crow put a finger to her lip and she silenced. "Don't worry." He stood up and lifted her up with him. "Will you be alright?" Shiori nodded and smiled. "Yeah." Crow was about to kiss her, but stopped hearing someone call Shiori's name. He let go of her and ran. Shiori stood there, motionless, still staring where he had vanished.
"Shiori!" Osatai, her father ran up to her and hugged her. "I'm glad that you're alright. One of my men told me that you were almost killed, but another man saved you." He let go of her and looked around. "Where, who is this other man? I must thank him for saving my daughter." Shiori looked at the ground. "I don't know. I just saw him run off. Probably to go back and fight." Osatai nodded and looked at his men. "Go back to your stations." "Yes, sir!" And they left them.
"Shiori, maybe you should go home. Rest. And tell Rini I love her." He smiled and walked off. Shiori kept standing there and sighed. "Father's right. I should go home. maybe Rini and I can go to the Shoran Forest." She smiled slightly and walked off. She still held her bow tightly, in case she had to use it quickly.
She opened the door and Rini jumped into her. "Good to see you too, Rini." She laughed. Rini looked up at her and smiled. "You're home early. That rarly happens now. I'm just happy to see you." Shiori hugged her and walked further inside, shuting the door behind her.
"I was thinking we could take a trip to go see Jiko. What do you say?" Rini's eyes glowed and she grinned. Shiori laughed. "I'll take that as a yes. Pack your things." "Yes." They both went into their bed rooms and started to pack somethings. Rini ran out and joined Shiori who was waiting for her at the door, and they both walked out.
They walked through the village and to the edge of the forest. They waited there for a while, until a three-tailed white fox greeted them. "Rini, Shiori, come in. It's been all too long." And the three walked into the forest.
