Kaiyo looked down at herself. "Ah, crap." Her tail swished to the side. "Yes, it's normal. Didn't you do your homework when looking up Kitsune?" She grabbed a piece of cake and popped it into her mouth.
"See? It likes the food. Now, can you get it to say anything so you can supposedly understand it?"

Osai sighed and leaned against the counter once more. "Of course. Eye witnesses have said that you had the ears and tail of a fox, but I just figured that it was fake. You know, part of the act. But I guess I shouldn't assume anything around you."
He gazed down at the wolf as it went at the turkey. It wasn't wild, considering it hadn't attacked one of them yet, and it was female, obviose on how he knew that. What to ask it? Well, probably if it can understand 'human'. Most animals can, though there are still many that can't. But, this isn't any animal one would see out their windows, she was magical.
He slid down the counter to the floor, still leaning against it, and sat, being eye level with the wolf. He smiled and gave a slight sigh. "So--I'm assuming that you can understand me. And before anything else, I think we should start with a name. I'm Osai, and little miss grumpy fox over there," he gestured towards Kaiyo with his head, "is Kaiyo. And you are?"

"No you shouldn't assume things. Enjoy the mystery. Besides, assumption makes an ass out of you and me." She grinned, swished her tail a bit and took a seat on the counter once more, her long. pale legs dangling over the side.
although she quickly was crossing her arms over her chest once more, her tongue out in a petulant gesture. "I'll take the little as a compliment, but I'm not grumpy."

Osai looked up at her, a sly grin playing on his face. He didn't say anything, but he gave a short, small laugh.
He watched as Kaiyo's tail moved back and forth in gracful movements. The rusty color complimenting her gleeming eyes. His eyes moved down to her glowing legs. So slinder, so perfect. The sounds of the wolf's eating made him come back to reality, shaking his head ever so slightly, and looking back to the wolf, awaiting her answer.

Midori tilted her head at the man before she gave a wolfy grin. "Name's Midori, nice to meet the two of you," she barked.
Though she wanted to say more, she knew better than to give out information that wasn't asked. Though... she wasn't working for that group anymore, so there really was no need for secrecy. Oh well, habits died hard.

Kaiyo's eyes widened in surprise. "Huh, she understood you. What'd it say? What kind of magic does the little wolfy have?" As a fox, the wolf's barking was like a different dialect. The accent was so heavy she couldn't quite make out the words. Oh well, she'll have to rely on Osai to translate.

Osai was taken aback by Kaiyo's sudden burst of energy. He looked up at her, "I only asked her her name, and that's all I got. Her name's Midori, and she's glad to have met us."
He sighed and hung his head. "Well," he started to Midori, "I guess Kaiyo wants to know about your magic qualities." He looked up at her. "What, exactly, are you?"

Giving another wolfy grin, Midori took a few steps back and stretched herself out. Looking back at Osai, she smirked. "I could say a wolf, but that's a bit cheeky isn't it?"
Shrugging as best as she could, Midori barked out her answer. "I'm like that girl, Kaiyo there, except my shapeshifting abilities expand beyond one form. To be exact, I'm a shapeshifter of any animal shape," she told him.
Now, she could simply change back and talk to them that way, but she was rather comfortable in her wolfy form. Plus, she didn't know them enough to allow herself to be vulnerable in front of them. She laid down on her stomach and placed her head on her paws looking at the two.

Osai's eyes widened. "She says she's like you," he stated, looking at Kaiyo, "but, really she's more like myself. She is a human who can change into many animal forms."
He looked back to Midori, thinking. I wonder if she is like me. Where did she come from? Is she from the same haritage as Seiya and me? If she is, I could learn more about my past. Since we were abandoned at birth. Simular questions and thoughts continued to run through his head, but only one of them did he say, "So, what are you doing here? Why'd you come to Kaiyo's house?" He didn't mean to go this quickly, but it was probably important to know if this girl was of any kind of threat to them.

Kaiyo's eyes widened a bit and she cocked her head to one side. "Interesting." A girl like her? She briefly wondered how common it was for shapeshifter's to be about anywhere.
Kaiyo had to grin slightly at Osai's next questions. She didn't even have to lead him this time. He was learning quickly how to be cautious.

Midori raised her head slightly and stared at Osai. So that was what he was? Interesting indeed... she hadn't met others like her before... except for that one time, but that was a special case.
Shrugging once more, Midori answered his question as simply as the others. "One of the workers found me wounded and I've been hanging around since then," she told him.
She may not have completely answered his question, but perhaps he would not notice. Well, if he did, she'd have an answer for that too...

"She says that one of your workers found her wounded and she's hung around since." He already knew what to ask next. He eyed Midori's bandages. "What happened? Something fairly big, or powerful would of had to attack you to get those kind of injeries."
He wished that Seiya was there, only for the fact that when she changes into another person, she doesn't only look and sound like them, she also gains all their memories. There was something that this girl was hiding from them, and hidding from herself. I was all excited to be able to be alone with Kaiyo and have a wonderful night with her, but instead I'm having a conversation with a shifter. And if she actually does have something that's hunting her, it seems like we're gonna get involved in it wheather we like it or not.

"She better not be expecting us to go out and fight this thing. I don't owe Midori here a thing, and I ain't risking my art business to go kill something. If anything, she owes me, it being MY house and all," Kaiyo growled, glaring at the little wolf. It was supposed to be a fun night. Drinking, eating, hanging alone with Osai. After the excitement of a heist, she was looking to party.
But why couldn't it be a fun night? It was her house. She paid the bills. She had every right to refuse entry to this little wolf. She could still have her fun.

Midori's ears went back and she glared back at Kaiyo. She got up and growled at her. "I'm not asking you to do anything for me! I found this place to be rather nice, but if I'm obviously in the way, I'll just leave!" she finished in a low snarl. She began to back away before she abruptly turned around and took off for the door.
She used the doggy door and scoffed to herself as she took off for the woods. It was nice to meet other people like her, but she wasn't about to stay in a place where she was obviously the trouble.

Osai jumped up, using the counter top as balance and watched the two just glare at eachother. Osai didn't need to translate what Midori said for Kaiyo, he was sure that she could figure it out.
He strided to the sink, looking out the window as Midori disappeared into the trees. He sighed, turning to face Kaiyo, and leaned against the counter. "I'm guessing that she won't come back anytime soon. So, shall we continue with our celebrating?" He gave a silent sigh. He did worry about Midori and still wanted to talk with her, but tonight wasn't the night. Maybe, he'd come back a search the woods tomorrow.
