Kaiyo sighed innocently, "well I didn't mean for her to storm off like that. She's welcome, just so's she don't go snooping around. There are certain things that need to remain hidden. I mean, the whole world doesn't need to know my secrets! It's bad enough I was found out by you two!" she huffed. It wasn't like she was going to throw her out or anything.
She hadn't taken him for the cold type. Nor the type that wasn't curious. "Well, that was fast. You're not going to run after her?" She shrugged. "Ah well, your choice, right?" she walked across the room with long, graceful steps and picked up her drink, taking a deep swig.

A cheesey smile played across his face, "Nah. Besides, she'd probably run away or attack me." He glanced towards the window. "I said she wouldn't come back, but, now that I think about it, curiousity gleamed in her eyes--"
He spaced for a second, but then regained his thoughts and looked back to Kaiyo. "And it's our night to celebrate." He rose his glass and chugged the last little bit that was left, and just smiled.

Kaiyo hid her grimace. Yeah, Midori didn't have to run away but the more time she spent at the house.. there were definitely risks that she did not approve of.
Kaiyo walked slinkly towards him, grinning seductively from ear to ear. "It is our night." She raised her glass. "To success."

"Success," he repeated. His smile fadded as a thought popped into his head. "Although, maybe it wasn't smart letting her leave--" he started, setting down his glass and looking to Kaiyo, "I mean, she did say that the workers took her in, and there is a way for her to have gotten in as much as she pleased," he gestured at the door where a doggy-door was put. "She may know about you job, and even other secrets--if you have any--that you've hidden." He rose an eye brow, waiting for Kaiyo's response.

Kaiyo sighed. And just when they were getting somewhere.
"Then that means we have to make her an ally, or torture her into silence. But first, we have to figure out if she knows ANYTHING without, if at all possible, hinting at anything so she doesn't go snooping afterwards." She muttered, upset. Now her night was ruined. She was right, Osai wasn't the cold type. He was worried about that darn wolf and now they couldn't have fun. Crap.

He started sweating, he knew that Kaiyo had figured him out. He tried to do this in a way that wouldn't seem like he actually wanted to, but she could see it. d**n, she was good.
He sighed. "Right." He paused. Was it really that important that they go tonight? hopefully it wasn't. They could still have their night, and they could go tomorrow. "We could wait. We're out in the country, and I don't think she'd have a cell phone. Even if she shifts into a faster animal, with the wounds she had she wouldn't get very far. We can still have our night and go at it tomorrow." He smiled and added, "And this is my final decission. I will keep any concerns I may have to myself."

Kaiyo just looked at him for a moment. He sure changed his mind a lot. One minute, he wanted to go out and capture that Midori chick and got her worked all up over it and then he suggests staying in for the night again? What was he getting at? She wanted to forget her responsibilities, her job, and she could for the night, but there'd be that worry in her head because he put it there. Did he even realize what he was saying?
"But you'll be thinking those concerns." she said in a sing-song voice. She briefly wondered why he was sweating. she sighed, "why do you have to make this so annoying?" she gulped down the last of her drink in one swallow. She resisted the urge to go to the cabinet and get some vodka.
Then it occurred to her: "this is my final decision." He had decided to stay. HIS decision. So she would be the one ruining the night if they went, and they probably wouldn't catch this irritating little wolf tonight even if they did. She knew it was irresponsible, and just an avoidance tactic of the issue, not to mention avoiding a decision that she was torn on. On one hand, responsibility and work, on the other, fun. Fun won out.
"Alright then. If she's got my secrets, you're paying though." she threatened cheerily.

Osai didn't really pay attention, but just said, "Of course," and grabbing his cake that he never finished. He scooped a fork full into his mouth, chewing it mostly, before saying, "So, what movies do you have?" He swallowed and smiled to Kaiyo. Their night was on again, and this time, nothing was going to stop it.
((I don't think we need to post a lot about them hanging together. Unless you have some plans?))

((all plans that I could have would further their relationship and wouldn't be appropriate for public forums--not necessarily dirty stuff, just lots of booze and flirting and swearing, meh. Your choice to skip or not.))
Kaiyo slinked over to him, a smile on her face. "Check the cabinet" she pointed to some doors under a TV in the open living room that connected to the kitchen. "You'll be surprised how many rare movies you can fit into such a small space." she commented, walking down the hallway to the bar. "Got any problems with vodka? Or would you prefer something else." She peeked her head into the other room, holding up an expensive-looking bottle.

((I don't know. I think we should have a couple of posts to further their relationship and then continue from there.))
Osai glided to the cabnet, crouching over to study the movies. There were a few that caught his eye. He turned back, about to ask Kaiyo a question, when she popped her head in with her own.
"Straight to the hard stuff. Sounds good." He paused, asking his quetion, "You want romantic humor, or lovey-dovey romance?" He stood and turned his whole body to her, so she wasn't talking to his ass.

"I don't care. It's your pick." She grabbed a couple of glasses and, after considering it for a moment, brought along the bottle too. This would be a good time to experiment how the new kid held his liquor. She grinned at her own mischevious-ness and flopped onto the couch, placing the alcohol onto the glass coffee table. Her tail twitched a bit with anxiousness.
"So, what are we watching?" She smiled, taking a sip out of her glass, relishing the taste of nice, expensive vodka.

He quickly thought about it and then grabbed one, closing the cabnit and walking over to Kaiyo. "Serendipity. Never seemed that vodka and sappy love movies ever went together." He smiled, popping the disc into the player and letting Kaiyo actually set it up, since it was her's. He sat himself down next to Kaiyo and took a swig of his glass. His eyes widened and he smiled. "I haven't had this kind for ages." He grabbed the bottle by the neck, reading the lable. "Very few bars can even afford this stuff." He took another large swig, quickly finishing his glass and poured himself another. He got more relaxed and watched as the movie started.

"Well, in my line of work you become rich, FAST." She held up her glass. "To money. In a few weeks your financial worries will be gone for the rest of your life." She smiled and snuggled down into the couch as well.
Within a few minutes, she was fast asleep on Osai's shoulder.

He sighed in relief. "Yes. It'll be nice to not have to worry 'bout the rent, and food, and pretty much everything." He gave a small chuckle as the opening music began to play.
The movie had barly started when Osai felt heat and presser on his shoulder. He looked over to see a sleeping red-head that was Kaiyo. He couldn't help but laugh. I guess it has been a long day.
He looked at the movie, then looked to the kitchen. He thought about that wolf girl. He looked back at Kaiyo. It won't hurt to just make sure she's all right. Kaiyo looks like she won't wake for a while anyway. He gently stands up, making sure Kaiyo doesn't fall from her position. He then lifts her from the couch and carries her up the stairs to the bed room that they were first in. He sets her onto the bed, covering her with the blankets. He sits on the edge for a while, just looking at her peacful, beautiful face. He corressed her hair and softly kissed her forhead, standing and leaving the room afterward.
He quickly walks down the stair. He spots his shoes and decides to leave them. If I'm gonna have to defend myself or make a quick runaway, I'm going to change into an animal, and my shoe'll be left behind anyway. And he finally heads out the back door of the kitchen. It was dark, but the moon and stars provided enough light for him to see. The grass was cool and damp on his bare feet. He took a deep breath as he examined the line of trees, and wondered into that neverending forest.

Midori whined softly as she laid down in the pile of moss in the hollow of the tree's roots. Her wounds, though mostly healed, were bothering her. They were at that itchy stage at which all she wanted to do was tear through the bandages and scratch until she was content. Though, that would probably leave her bleeding.
She settled for turning on her sides with the worst of the itches to let the coolness of the moss sooth it. There, that helped.
Midori laid her head down onto the moss as well and allowed her eyes to close, though she stayed alert for any noises. What was that earlier anyway?
Since she had time to think, her abrupt actions were probably mistake. She probably shouldn't have left like that. Oh well, her partner had always told her that she was too hotheaded. She just never thought through her actions enough. He had been the thinker, and it was because of her brash actions that had caused her wounds... and his death.
Midori's eyes opened and she got to her feet, or rather paws. She went outside of the roots and sat down, staring up at the sky with the bright moon.
Oh... why hadn't she listened to him? The mission wouldn't have failed, and he wouldn't have died if she had listened. It was her fault. "Oh Brandt... you're a stupid fool for keeping me as your partner," Midori whispered her ears flat against her head in sorrow.
